About Ann Salovich

Funding for the Zero+ Campus Design project was generously provided by the University of Minnesota's Ann Salovich fund.

Ann Salovich (1928-2008), along with her husband Wallace (BBA ’50, MA ’56), was a loyal supporter of the University of Minnesota community, graciously giving her time and resources for decades. Ann Salovich was a lifelong Minnesotan and lifetime member of the University of Minnesota Alumni Association. She was a graduate of Stephens College in Columbia, MO.

Mrs. Salovich’s bequest was made in honor of her association with, and enjoyment of, the University of Minnesota throughout her lifetime and as a reflection of her esteem for the central importance of education for the benefit and improvement of society. Mrs. Salovich also enjoyed nature and had deeply held environmental values. She wanted her bequest to advance knowledge and create best stewardship practices with regard to humans’ impact on the environment. Her bequest was directed, among other areas, to support scholarship and application of wise land use practices and urban growth principles, improved water quality, and a sustainable and beautiful University of Minnesota campus.
