University Lab
Project Description
The University Lab Project was a student project completed for the seven week project module course, ARCH 5550: Zero+ Design. This project was chosen as it related to current proposals for new research facilities that support the science departments on the University of Minnesota East Bank campus. It was intended to follow the program and site requirements as outlined by Capital Planning and Project Management, while placing special emphasis on regenerative design thinking and performance metrics that can help inspire future lab designs. This project was completed through a rigorous design investigation using quantitative analysis and precedent research to help inform design decisions that can reduce energy, water, and waste consumption.
